bio

Charlette Judge is from New York City, she started playing volleyball in middle school in the 8th grade. She fell in love with the game before she played it. Her mom actually played volleyball in a church league before Charlette was too young to actually play. Charlette moved up the ranks quickly displaying her hunger, discipline, and leadership. Charlette’s volleyball career was just beginning as she received a volleyball scholarship to St Francis College where she was also selected to be Captain her Sophomore year. Her high school and middle school coaches were extremely instrumental in her future success in the sport.

After playing 2 years in college an almost fatal car accident started the next phase of her life in the United States Air Force. Proud to serve her country not only overseas in Iraq, but also on the volleyball court. Charlette played for her Base and again moved up the ranks quickly, being selected to the Armed Forces team representing the Air Force and then up to the CISM team, which competed Internationally. Her military international volleyball career ended with a torn ACL and torn Meniscus. Charlette’s coaching career began right here in Ga, where she landed after being discharged from the military. First, she coached at Riverdale HS, where she helped the first volleyball scholarship recipient in school history continue her journey to the next level. That gave birth to her club coaching experience at Fusion, and then she went on to sign with A5 South in her 1st year. She was the assistant coach of the A5 South’s first 161’s, then went on to Head Coaching the 153’s,172’s, and 162’s. In 2019, Charlette made history by being the first 2’s team coach at A5 South and A5 satellite clubs to secure a Bid to USAV Nationals. A5 was pivotal in expanding her love and knowledge for not just playing the game but teaching and coaching it.

Charlette’s love and passion for the sport of volleyball, and community makes her not only a great leader but amazing role model for young female athletes who want to learn and play
volleyball at the next level.
